Manage API Credentials

Revoke Credential

  1. Log in to your Atlas account. 

  2. From the dashboard, click on the Credentials dropdown to expand and click on Issuing API.

  3. Hover over the active credential to reveal the ellipsis (three dots) in the upper‑right corner of the credential.

  4. Click the ellipsis (three dots) to display the available actions.

  5. Click on Revoke Credential

  6. Click Yes, delete and revoke to continue. 
     

    WARNING: Ensure that this is the credential you intend to revoke. Revoking a credential will permanently delete your API Key and Secret. Once removed, it will be disabled and will be removed from your account. This action cannot be undone.

  7. You have successfully removed your API Credential. 

View/Change Associations

  1. Log in to your Atlas account. 

  2. From the dashboard, click on the Credentials dropdown to expand and click on Issuing API.

  3. Hover over the active credential to reveal the ellipsis (three dots) in the upper‑right corner of the credential.

  5. Click on View/Change Associations

  6. In Associated Service & Identity window, the current service and Identity Profile linked to the credential will be displayed. Click on Change this service to continue.

  7. Select the new Service that you like to link the credential, and then click Continue
  8. Select the new Identity Profile that you'd  like to link the credential, and then click Continue
  9. You have successfully updated your API Credential. 

 

WHAT'S NEXT: After generating your API Credentials, you can now create an mTLS Certificate
