Request an Identity

Overview

You must have purchased a product pack or SAN license before you can request an identity profile.   

Domain Validated (DV) level identities are automatically created and vetted once you accept a quote for Atlas DV products. 

Organization Validated (OV) level identities must be manually requested on the Atlas portal once you accept a quote for Atlas OV products. You will be prompted to create an identity profile based on the products you have purchased: ​​​​​​

  • Digital Signing Service (DSS)  
  • TLS (OV)  
  • S/MIME Enterprise  
  • IntranetSSL OV   

Identities for the same product pack will be coupled according to their vetting group. For instance, if one pack has different types of TLS DV (ECC, RSA) or TLS OV (ECC, RSA) products, only one DV and one OV identity is created. However, you may manually request more identities in the portal if required. 
Note: There is no identity required for Trial or Test Certificate product packs.

Request an Identity Profile

When you accept a quote for OV-level products in Atlas, you will be prompted to create an identity profile for those products.

  1. Click Request an identity profile on the To Do card on your Atlas dashboard.
  2. Fill in the the profile name (choose something meaningful, especially if you have or will be making multiple similar identity profiles) and registered organization information.
    Note: The identity profile screen will vary based on the product you’ve purchased.
  3. Click Request this identity profile.
  4. Review your changes and then click Request this identity.

You can also manually request an identity profile at any time.

  1. Click the Request Identity Profiles card on your dashboard, or click Identity Profiles on the left nav and then click Request an Identity.
  2. Select the service that will be associated with this identity profile.
  3. Fill in the the profile name (choose something meaningful, especially if you have or will be making multiple similar identity profiles) and registered organization information.
    Note: The Identity profile screen will vary based on the product you’ve purchased.
  4. Click Request this identity profile.
  5. Review your changes and then click Request this identity.
