Manage SAN License

Order and Issuance

To order a SAN License, please contact our sales team↗ for assistance.

TLS
S/MIME

You can customize the following options when purchasing your SAN license:

Wildcard-enabled
Wildcard multiplier (default is 5)
Maximum subscription term
Key types (RSA & ECC are included by default)

The following products can be purchased through a SAN license:

Alpha SSL
IntranetSSL DV
IntranetSSL OV
TLS DV
TLS OV
TLS EV

S/MIME issuance is currently available through the Atlas API only. Documentation and workflows intended for TLS certificate issuance may not apply to S/MIME certificates.

The following S/MIME products can be purchased through a SAN license:

S/MIME (Secure Mail)

S/MIME (Secure Mail) Enterprise

Renewal

Please contact your Account Manager to create a renewed quota according to your needs. Your SAN license may be renewed up to 30 days before (or, in some exceptions, after) the initial license expires. You may increase or decrease your license limit when you renew.

Hard Stop is an upcoming renewal feature that restricts certificate management and issuance when a SAN license expires without being renewed. To avoid service interruptions, ensure SAN licenses are renewed before their expiration date. More information soon.

Increase Existing SAN License Quota

SAN license quota can be increased by accepting a quote provided through the portal. Please contact your Account Manager to adjust your existing quota according to your requirements.

Revoke or Expiring Certificate

Revoking a certificate will return a SAN to your SAN license count. To revoke a certificate, please refer to this page↗.
